Our History

The Juice Bar Nantucket first opened its doors in the late 1970’s and began making ice cream in the 1980’s. However, during this time it was also a full service coffee shop and bakery.  When Ron and Jackie Lefebvre purchased the store in 1999 the focus shifted to concentrate on creating quality homemade ice cream. Since then, the Juice Bar has remained a local favorite and a must visit treat on any trip to Nantucket Island. Though we wish we could serve all year we are a seasonally operated business that runs late April through early October.

We take pride in our product, that is why all our ice cream and bakery goods are handcrafted with care on location.  Nothing tastes quite like homemade.

Fresh. Sweet. Delicious.

What they're saying

"In the high season, the smell of waffle cones wafts from this treasured ice cream shop near Steamship Wharf. A green menu on the front door lists all the flavors for homemade ice cream, frozen yogurt, frappes, and juices. "
Travel + Leisure
"It’s addictive. There are no bad choices here, but make sure to get a hand-rolled waffle cup and fill it with any combination of chocolate Oreo, butter pecan, coffee and cookies & cream"
New York Times
"This no-frills Steamship Wharf spot is practically an institution. The Juice Bar’s rich and creamy scoops are served on hand-formed waffle cones and all the flavors are made on-island"
